Good Morning Smoothie

Smoothies made in a blender are one of the best and easiest ways to mix ingredients together to make a super-healthy shake.  Below are some suggested ingredients for smoothies.  Use these different ingredients to make up different flavors of smoothies for you and your family to enjoy.

Milk:  Coconut, Almond, 2% Organic Cow
Water:  Add as required
Whey Protein Powder:  25-30 grams (2 scoops)
Sumac Milled Sorghum Bran:  highest antioxidant value on earth (1 tbsp)
Greens:  Kale, spinach, Swiss chard, broccoli sprouts
Fruits:  Bananas, apples, orange, mango, papaya, pineapple, kiwi
Berries:  Strawberries, blueberries, rasberries, mulberries, goji
Nuts:  Walnuts, pecans, almonds, macadamia (palm full); brazil nuts (2-3); pine nuts (1 tbsp)
Nut Butters:  peanut, almond (1 tbsp)
Grains:  Barley flakes, oats
Yogurt (low fat, high protein, with active cultures)
Pumpkin, canned (heaping tablespoon)
Seeds:  chia, pumpkin, sesame, sunflower, flax, fennel
Spices:  Turmeric, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg
Avocado: (slice up ripe avocados, then freeze them)
Edamame (soybeans) frozen
Honey (1-2 tbsp)
Cocoa (1 tsp)
Maca (1 tsp)
Pomegranate juice, seeds
Coconut flakes
Wheat germ (1-2 tbsp)

Note:  If you buy extra kale, spinach, chard or broccoli sprouts, tear off the leaves, wash them, and freeze them.  When you are ready to prepare your smoothie, gently crush the frozen greens into flakes with a meat tenderizer hammer prior to opening the bag, and then add to blender.

Mix up some extra smoothie, and then pour the extra into glass jars and refrigeration, you can eat this in the evening.  If you do not have time to prepare dinner, a smoothie will be a meal replacement idea.  Reminder, most of your heavy eating should be done at breakfast and lunch, never at dinner.  You want most of your food intake for the day to be over by 3pm.
